The Mark

SHELTON, CT — Continental Properties, one of the largest and most successful residential building and development organizations in the tri-state region, announced today that it has broken ground on The Mark I Fairfield County in Shelton, CT, a 228-unit ground-up rental community at 740 Bridgeport Avenue that will consist of six four-story elevator buildings.

“The Mark I Fairfield County will continue our long-standing tradition of developing premier rental communities with thoughtfully crafted amenities throughout the tri-state,” said Steven Fisch, Managing Partner at Continental Properties, which acquired the development site in the second quarter of 2014.

The amenities-rich community at The Mark will feature a mix of 96 one-bedroom homes and 132 two bedrooms, will also offer a clubhouse, cinema room, library, sports lounge, fitness center, EV car charger, private dining room with chilled wine storage, modern sculpture, pool cabana, fire pit, two gazebos and a dog park.

Shelton is situated within Fairfield County, one of the 20 most affluent counties in the country. Fairfield County’s proximity to New York City makes it an attractive, cost-effective destination for large corporate headquarters and regional offices. The site location benefits from its Bridgeport Avenue address and its close proximity to over two million square feet of commercial office, big box retail, and neighboring hotels with national flags.

Construction is expected to be completed in 2016.
